Supplies needed: school bags/back packs, composition books, pencils, blue pens, erasers and sharpeners, white glue, colored pencils, rulers, construction paper, arts & crafts materials.
Red Door Community
(formerly Gilda's Club New York City)
"Where no one face Cancer alone."
SIM has supported Gilda’s Club New York City (GCNYC) since 1998. Their new name, as of July 15, 2021 will be Red Door Community. This name reflects an evolution of 25 years of free cancer support that we have provided to cancer patients and their families. They continue to be very grateful to SIM for their ongoing support for more than 16 years.
Hour Children®
"Help incarcerated and formerly incarcerated women and their children successfully rejoin the community, reunify with their families and build healthy, independent, and secure lives."
Founded more than 25 years ago, Hour Children® was named to acknowledge the important hours that shape the life of a child with an incarcerated mother – the hour of their mother’s arrest, the hour of their visit, and the hour of her release.
The members of SIM purchase baby clothing (birth - 24 months) which are donated to Hour Children® at our holiday party in December. Please check the calendar for the event date.
